Advisor-Led Planning
Your Entire Financial Life,
Coordinated.
A CFP advisor who sees your full picture — your income, taxes, investments, estate plan, insurance, education funding, and goals — through the lens of the seven Practice Domains.
Schedule a conversationWhen advisory makes sense
You need an advisor when coordination becomes more valuable than managing it yourself.
Your income has outgrown your accounts.
You have maxed your 401(k) and IRA. Surplus is accumulating in savings. You know it should be deployed — but where, in what account, with what tax treatment? The answer involves your tax bracket, your state, your timeline, and your other accounts. An advisor coordinates across all of them.
Your tax picture has layers.
You have equity compensation, rental income, a business entity, or investment gains that interact with your W-2 in ways that create both risk and opportunity. Your CPA files the return. Your advisor builds the strategy that makes the return as small as legally possible.
Your estate plan exists but is not coordinated.
You have a will. Maybe a trust. But your IRA beneficiary designations were set in 2019, your life insurance ownership may create estate inclusion, and nobody has checked whether your documents and your investment titling actually match. An advisor holds the master view.
Your family's financial life has become multi-dimensional.
College funding for three children. A cabin in a trust. A commercial property in an LLC. A parent who needs care. A child going through a divorce. Multiple states, multiple entities, multiple generations. An advisor manages the chess game so you can live the life.
The foundation
The Seven Practice Domains
Every Grounded Wealth client is assessed across all seven domains — not just investments. Your advisor scores each, identifies the priority, and builds the plan around closing the gaps.
Income & Cash Flow
How money enters and flows through your household
Saving & Reserves
Your Reservoir, your Foundation, your emergency capacity
Investing
Portfolio strategy, asset location, long-term growth
Risk & Protection
Insurance coverage and self-insurance thresholds
Tax Planning
Current-year strategy and multi-year coordination
Estate & Legacy
Documents, beneficiaries, multi-generational planning
Continuous Learning
Ongoing education and practice deepening
Most advisory firms address domain 3 and ignore the other six. We score all seven because a brilliant investment strategy means nothing if the estate plan is outdated, the tax strategy is uncoordinated, or the insurance is inadequate.

How we invest
Evidence-based. Transparent. Low-cost. Repeatable.
Evidence-based
Grounded in peer-reviewed research, not market predictions.
Transparent
Explainable in plain language. If you cannot understand the strategy, we have failed.
Diversified
Spread across asset classes, geographies, and sectors.
Cost-conscious
Low expense ratios, clearly disclosed. Every basis point matters over decades.
Our GPS portfolio system offers five families — Grounded Core, Grounded Factor, Grounded Income, Grounded ESG, and Grounded Harvest — each available across multiple risk levels. Your advisor matches you to the right model through the Strategy Matcher, a 10-question assessment of your path, timeline, risk tolerance, and values.
For Advisory Wealth and Family Office clients, we add Tax-Aligned Portfolios — placing tax-inefficient assets in tax-deferred accounts and tax-efficient assets in taxable accounts. This optimization typically saves $5,000 to $20,000 per year in unnecessary tax for households with $2M+ in investable assets.
Four Steps to Partnership
The Conversation
We listen. You tell us about your life — not just your money. Your goals, your family, your concerns, your definition of enough. No sales pitch. No obligation.
The Discovery
We score your seven Practice Domains together. We calculate your Enough Number. We map your Grounded Capital. If you have been using Grounded Money, most of this is already in the system.
The Plan
We build your Grounded Flow. We match your GPS portfolio. We align your investments for tax efficiency. We identify the priority domain and create an action plan sorted by impact.
The Practice
We review quarterly. We re-score your domains. We adjust as your life changes. We coordinate with your CPA and attorney. This is a relationship, not a transaction.
We work with your existing team.
We do not require you to replace your CPA or your attorney. We require that we can communicate with them directly so the strategy stays aligned across all three roles.
Your CPA files the return. Your attorney drafts the documents. Your advisor builds the strategy that makes both of their jobs easier — and your outcomes better. If you do not have a CPA or attorney and need a referral, we can help with that too.
